Martta

Martta came to live with me in June 2000. She was born April 8th, 2000 and is bred by Heather and Peter Whitcomb from Thetford Mines, Canada (Heathers Bloodhounds). Martta's dam is Can Ch. Heathers Truly Raising Cain aka Candy. Martta's sire is BISS/BIS Int Am & Can Ch. Heathers Nimrod Stew Unplugged aka Stewie.

Martta's temperament is outgoing and happy and she loves action. Mantrailing is her second favorite thing, the best thing of course is cuddling with mom. She is very gentle and loves to be close to me or to anyone who starts petting her.

Martta has won the following trophies of the Finnish Bloodhound Association: "The Bloodhound of the Year 2002" and "St Hubertus 2007". In 2007 Martta was placed 66th on the top show dog list of the Finnish Kennel Club, with only four shows. She was number eight hound when calculated from the same list.

Martta worked her way into the winners class in mantrailing. Martta has used her nose also for real work: during 2005-2009 she was a member of the alarm team of a Tampere SAR group (TSE ry.). Now she has retired.
